Northeast destinations.

Northeast destinations.

The Union tourism ministry has renewed air travel concessions for central government employees to attract tourists to the Northeast.

According to the proposal, group A and group B central government employees will be entitled to travel by air from their place of posting or nearest airport to a city in the Northeast or the nearest airport. The ministry said other categories of employees would be entitled to travel by air to a city in the Northeast from Guwahati or Calcutta.

All central government employees will be allowed conversion of one block of hometown LTC into LTC for destinations in the Northeast. This means that employees can use LTC meant to visit their homes for travelling to tourist destinations.

The minister of state for tourism, Sultan Ahmed, announced these decisions in a written reply in Lok Sabha recently. An official of the Meghalaya tourism department today said the initiative would definitely boost tourist flow to the Northeast, including Meghala.

CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL EDUCATION DAY ON 11.11.11

The birthday of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, an eminent educationist and a great leader of India’s freedom struggle, on 11th November of every year as National Education Day without declaring any holiday on that day.Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will be the chief guest at the National Education Day function being celebrated on November 11.National Education Day to be celebrated on Nov 11As India's Education Minister, .He was the first to raise the issue of the National System of Education which is today the bed-rock of the National Policy on Education (1986) updated in 1992. The concept implies that, upto a given level, all students, irrespective of caste, creed, location or sex have access to education of a comparable quality. All educational programmes, he said, must be carried out in strict conformity with secular values and constitutional framework. He stood for a common educational structure of 10+2+3 throughout India. If Maulana Azad were alive today he would have been the happiest to see the Right to Free Education Bill getting cabinet approval for the approval of Parliament. The Right to Education Bill seeks to make free and compulsory education a fundamental right. The wealth of the nation, according to Maulana Azad, was not in the country’s banks but in primary schools. The Maulana was also a great votary of the concept of Neighbourhood schools and the Common School System.

In education,India we need to understand, carefully

In education, we
need to understand, carefully select, and use combinations of
teaching practices that together increase the probability of
helping students learn, knowing that these practices may not
work in all classrooms at all times.
The strongest possibility of improving student learning
emerges where schools implement multiple changes in the
teaching and learning activities affecting the daily life of students. For example,if the aim is to improve students’scientific
problem-solving skills, the school might plan to introduce
training for teachers in (1) use of the learning cycle approach;
(2) use of computer simulations;and (3) systemic approaches
to problem solving. To simultaneously plan for the training
and other provisions needed to sustain all three of these
changes would be no small undertaking, but would hold great
promise for improving the quality of student problemsolving

Improving the working conditions of teachers and principals which in turn led to improved learning results for ALL

The government schools continue to provide poor quality education and the media and social leaders continue to
blame the teacher. The very survival of teaching as a profession is in question as the social status of the teacher
continues to erode. India faces a crisis of confidence with respect to teachers (and practically all government teacher motivation is, indeed, a national issue.

  • Improved teacher efficacy and motivation
  • Enhanced teacher retention
  • Targeted recruitment strategies to bring educators to hard-to-staff schools. Use of Information and Communication Technology.

what you want.

When you set goals, you do have to be careful, though, not to become too obsessed. Not many of us have a 100% hit rate so there may be times when you set a goal and you end up making a mistake or your goal doesn’t work. It’s really not the end of the world. At this point you have a choice: you can get all flustered, beat yourself up and go back to wandering about without direction – or you can learn from the experience and move on.

Finally, the key thing to consider when you’re setting goals is to clarify why you want something. Chances are if you set goals about things that you need in your life or that will benefit you and others, you’ll feel happy when you achieve: for example, losing weight so you can be healthy or getting a higher paid job so that you can afford to give your children a good quality of life. But if you set goals just because you think you should or to please other people, you may not feel that great – even when you’ve achieved what you set out to do. You have to ask yourself ‘What’s in it for me?’ and ‘What will happen if I don’t manage to do this?

Whatever goals you set, you have to demand more of yourself to push your performance: and you have to realise that we are all more capable then we think we are. Your ability to achieve is immeasurable – and it can be easier than you think to get what you want. http://educationpowersindia.blogspot.com

Learn about your child

You can learn about your child by observing other children belonging to the similar age group. You can check out our recommended books and browse our site, for lots of tips and in depth knowledge on child development. Bear in mind that you went through the same stages as a child so more or less the behavior of children in that same stage would be similar. However, the speed of development through each stage is a personal thing.
By understanding your child’s development, you will be able to provide them with opportunities as well as toys that can boost their development and prepare them for the next phase of their growth. At the same time, you as a parent would be able to set expectations and limits that are acceptable to your child.
Being a responsible parent is hard specially in this day and age when parents spend more time working rather than being with their kids. Quality time is difficult to achieve when you are trying to juggle your time between corporate life and parenthood. Not many people achieve success in parenthood and this could be frustrating on your part. Understanding your child is one effective way of becoming successful in the art of parenting.http://greenpowerindia.blogspot.com

Bhagwad Gita

This material world is full of stress and misery. The reason is people get attached to the results or fruits of their action. If we do our actions in the name of the Lord, without caring for the results, then our lives will be peaceful. This is well described in the following sloka,

"Karmany evadhikaraste,
Ma phaleshu kadacana,
Ma karma phala hetur bhur,
Ma te sango stv akarmani. "

Which means,
'You have a right to perform your duty but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Do not consider yourself the cause of the results of your actions. Do not be attached to not doing your duty. '

yuva India: Teacher in bringing social changes

Teacher is not just man to teach something . But In India , teacher is also a Guru who provides every knowledge to students. These students make society and nation. So, with providing good teaching , teacher can make good citizens of nation who respects our elders.

Teacher and its role for reform of society is very important . In this world , there are large number of profession from writing to production , but teaching is a profession which deals with the behaviour of students and teacher can develop the behaviour of students . After developing of the behaviour , students can develop their character . In my words , teacher provides the skill to do work by more efficiently .

Without , teacher we can not get education and without education we are nothing .

Teacher has also role to reforms and revaluation in society . By doing his duty , he spreads literacy in society . By this , illiteracy and ignorance can be removed . We know that ignorance is the baseof every problem like high rate of population , poverty , unemployment and pollution . If teacher performs his duty honestly . Our society can also become honest .

It is teacher who invents new idea and provides to his students . With these ideas , students of great teacher have invented all new inventions .

If we are living this society by very relax and comfortable , the main reason beyond this , the hard work of teachers and their research for discovery of new things for society welfare.

Somebody knows teachers as guide because , he directs students step by step .He stimulates to his students and with his encouragement student learns also extra ordinary things with intelligible way .

Teacher also not just provides subject knowledge but he provides the knowledge about the value of spirituality , morality , co-operation and politeness .

We can learn from teacher by his behaviour . In these thing , we can include punctuality , discipline , tactfulness , softness and handling of difficult problems . I have also learn above thing from my Gurus by continually study of his behaviour toward us
